CEC Charter & Guiding Principles
The Caring Economy Campaign (CEC) is committed to developing new national economic indicators that are more inclusive of economic health and social well-being, and that:
- give more visibility and value to care work—in both market and non-market economic sectors
- pay particular attention to the status of marginalized groups such as women, children, the elderly, and groups defined by race, ethnicity, disability, and sexual identity
- recognize that the status of women and children are powerful predictors of quality of life, economic success, and long-term well-being.
